Mehendi
The First Celebration of Love
The wedding festivities begin with Mehendi, where intricate henna designs adorn the bride’s hands and feet, symbolising love, beauty, and prosperity. Traditionally part of the Solah Shringaar (sixteen adornments of a married woman), this ritual is filled with laughter, songs, and togetherness.

Graha Shanti / Griha Shanti
Peace & Prosperity at Home
Performed in many traditions, this ritual is dedicated to the planets and family deities, invoking peace, prosperity, and harmony in the couple’s married life. It is a spiritual cleansing of the home before the wedding.

Haldi
The Glow of Blessings
Haldi brings warmth and joy as turmeric paste is lovingly applied to the bride and groom. The golden hue is said to bless them with radiance, protection, and prosperity. Family and friends join in the fun, turning this into one of the most vibrant and playful ceremonies.

Jaimala Ceremony

Saptapadi / Mangal Phera
The Seven Sacred Steps

Kanyadaan
The Sacred Giving Away
